Record #158276:

Technical note. Simplified radar mapping equations for terrain correction of space-borne SAR images / W. Gareth Rees, A.M. Steel.

Title: Technical note. Simplified radar mapping equations for terrain correction of space-borne SAR images / W. Gareth Rees, A.M. Steel.
Author(s): Rees, W. Gareth.
Steel, A. M.
Date: 2001.
In: International Journal of Remote Sensing. (2001.), Vol. 22(18) (2001)
Abstract: Presents simplified mapping equations for correction of SAR image, and assesses their accuracy and speed of terrain correction algorithm based on them. Evaluates performance of quadratic and linear approximations, finding quadratic approximation suffiently accurate in virtually all circumstances. Linear approximation is not suitable where topographic variation is large and near-swath incidence angle small.
