Abstract: Cook Inlet is of major importance to every aspect of life in Alaska. Extreme tidal conditions lead to large amounts of marine ice during year. This report presents time series of mean and extreme sea ice conditions from National Weather Service charts, together with information on winter conditions, particularly important to commercial activity. Describes oceanographic and climatic features contributing to ice regime of Cook Inlet.
