Predicting the spread of radioactive substances from the Kursk / R. Gerdes, M. Karcher, F. Kauker, C. Köberle.
Title: | Predicting the spread of radioactive substances from the Kursk / R. Gerdes, M. Karcher, F. Kauker, C. Köberle. |
Author(s): | Gerdes, R. Karcher, M. Kauker, F. Köberle, C. |
Date: | 2001. |
In: | Eos : transactions, American Geophysical Union. (2001.), Vol. 82(23) (2001) |
Abstract: | Presents numerical dispersion scenarios for several atmospheric forcing regimes from 1960s to 1990s for potential radioactive contamination from Russian nuclear submarine sinking in Barents Sea in August 2000. Scenarios are intended to provide estimate of possible range of future contaminant dispersion, assuming that prior atmospheric conditions are representative of future conditions. |
