| Abstract: | Discussed generation of new topographic model of bed beneath Antarctic Ice Sheet and seabed of surrounding continental shelf. Assessed suitability of recent ice-thickness database for this, finding measurements are patchy. Gives developments in demonstrating digital terrain model of ice thickness over grounded ice sheet and shelves using digital elevation models (DEMs). Intends to produce bathymetric database to extend model of sub-ice topography to continental shelf, and to establish long-term ice thickness data archive for Antarctica. |
