Record #157079:

Rapid changes of glacial climate simulated in a coupled climate model / Andrey Ganopolski, Stefan Rahmstorf.

Title: Rapid changes of glacial climate simulated in a coupled climate model / Andrey Ganopolski, Stefan Rahmstorf.
Author(s): Ganopolski, Andrey.
Rahmstorf, Stefan.
Date: 2001.
In: Nature. (2001.), Vol. 409(6817) (2001)
Abstract: Stability analysis of glacial climate and simulations of Dansgaard-Oeschger (D/O) and Heinrich events show stability properties of glacial climate differ basically from those of present climate in model. Accounts for timing of D/O events, patterns of climate change for D/O and Heinrich events, recovery of North Atlantic Deep Water formation after Heinrich events, that cooling pre-dates iceberg release in Heinrich events and that interglacial climate is less variable than glacial climate.
