Abstract: New amphibious vehicle with speed ranging between that of Hovercraft and ekranoplans (high-speed craft) is called transportation amphibious platform (TAP). Motion is based upon gas dynamics cushion effect, that is bow powerplant engine exhaust stream charging and lifting platform wing. Structure resembles catamaran with module-type cargo platform. List advantages over Hovercraft. Its high-speed amphibious assets and flexibility of design for cargoes are recommended.
