Abstract: Many insects are good flyers, but they can also be carried passively on air streams. They have been found at 5000 m as aerial plankton. Spiders can be carried below silk threads. Colorado beetle brought from Poland and Germany to Sweden are described - 300 000 were caught. Author has used two methods to collect insects fallen onto water. He describes two butterflies found only in summer in North Norway.
