Record #156358:

Patterns and determinants of the distribution and structure of benthic foraminiferal assemblages in the northern North Atlantic / Dieter Piepenburg, and 7 others.

Title: Patterns and determinants of the distribution and structure of benthic foraminiferal assemblages in the northern North Atlantic / Dieter Piepenburg, and 7 others.
Author(s): Piepenburg, Dieter.
Date: 2000.
Publisher: Heidelberg, Germany: Springer
In: Northern North Atlantic : a changing environment. (2000.),
Abstract: Goal was to determine degree to which benthic community patterns depend on or mediate carbon flux near bottom. Since 1992 meso-scale field studies have been made in three regions and at depths from 40 to 3 700 m. Marginal ice zones, as expected, were productive. Larger species such as echinoderms were best understood in terms of seafloor properties.
Notes:

In: The northern North Atlantic : a changing environment / Priska Schäfer, Will Ritzrau, Michael Schlüter, Jörn Thiede, eds.

Keywords: 574.587 -- Benthos.
593.9 -- Echinodermata.

(*3) -- Arctic regions.
(*61) -- North Atlantic Ocean.
