| Abstract: | 10 abattoirs were tested, 6 mobile. In all except 1 of these 6, bacteria were lower than in fixed ones. Bad one was worst of all, where slaughter was performed after rain, in snow-free conditions. Most pollution occurred when there was unnecessary handling or much-used aprons. Suggestions are made for achieving suitable standards of cleanliness. |
