Record #155934:

Hydrological controls on sediment transport pathways: implications for debris-covered glaciers / Nick Spedding.

Title: Hydrological controls on sediment transport pathways: implications for debris-covered glaciers / Nick Spedding.
Author(s): Spedding, Nick.
Date: 2000.
Publisher: Wallingford, Oxfordshire: IASH Press
In: Debris-covered glaciers : proceedings of an international workshop held at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington USA, 13-15 September 2000. (2000.),
Abstract: Finds that active transport of debris from subglacial bedrock contributes substantially to quantity of drainage basin sediment for Icelandic glaciers Gigjökull and Kviárjökull. Gives evidence of switch from subglacial to englacial drainage affecting deposition of debris, and incorporates this finding into model.
