| Abstract: | In 70s and 80s owners were mocked for their "eagle" losses, and treated as crooks. Farmers, in contrast, were believed. Changes took place in 1992-3, with 3 million kroner to reindeer owners, farmers getting 16 million; in Sweden figures were 31 and 0.3 million. Media are now more reasonable. On figures, more deer are replaced, but value of each has gone down. |
