| Abstract: | Detailed analysis was carried out on part of western slope of ravine, widened by erosion as result of heavy flow during catastrophic jökulhlaup of 1996. Three series of glacio-water laid deposits and three glacial series were distinguished. Complex geological structure of end moraine, hitherto dated to end of 19th Cent., shows that glacier twice reached line marking its position during these advances. |
