Abstract: Analyses impact assessents of offshore oil exploration in Barents and Beaufort Seas. Bird studies have mainly focussed on finding areas most sensitive to marine oil pollution; methodological problems were addressed. Species included moulting king eiders, little auk and great cormorant. Areas studied were Davis Strait, Fylla, all western Greenland and southern Baffin Bay.
