Siberian shelf sediments contain clues to paleoclimate forcing / Henning A. Bauch.

Title: Siberian shelf sediments contain clues to paleoclimate forcing / Henning A. Bauch.
Author(s): Bauch, Henning A.
Date: 2000.
In: Eos : transactions, American Geophysical Union. (2000.), Vol. 81(21) (2000)
Abstract: Explains importance of Arctic environment in providing insight into various processes which are key to understanding global climate. Outlines recent oceanographic studies on tracer chemistry in Arctic Ocean which show that considerable part of riverine freshwater is contained in Arctic halocline and sea ice cover, which come mainly from large Siberian rivers. Summarises results of studies carried out in Laptev Sea during last six years.
