Record #155030:

Cazenovia Creek ice-control structure / James H. Lever, Gordon Gooch, Steven F. Daly.

Title: Cazenovia Creek ice-control structure / James H. Lever, Gordon Gooch, Steven F. Daly.
Author(s): Lever, James H.
Gooch, Gordon.
Daly, Steven F.
Date: 2000.
In: ERDC/CRREL Technical Report. (2000.), TR-00-14 (2000)
Abstract: Describes physical model tests and design recommendations for ice-control structure (ICS) for Cazenovia Creek, western New York. Results from numerical ice-hydraulic model determining extent of flooding upstream of ICS show flooding of properties abutting creek, though this decreases as volume of ice reduces. Structure strikes balance in protecting downstream from flooding and reducing upstream flooding from retained ice.
