Abstract: Swedish-Japanese EISCAT campaign of Feb. 1999 aimed to measure ionospheric parameters associated with auroral arcs. Ion line radar was optimised for probing E-region and lower F-region. Two extra channels for same altitudes gave total of 3 upshifted and 3 downshifted frequency bands. Modified theoretical incoherent scatter spectrum is used to explain data.
