| Abstract: | Describes short-term variability of oceanographic and biological characteristics in channel of inter-island region of sub-Antarctic Prince Edward Islands. Includes macrozooplankton and micronekton composition, densities and distributional patterns, and discusses occurrence of pronounced water pulses along inter-island trench, and effect of sub-Antarctic Front on mesoscale dynamics of physical and biological parameters between and around islands. Identifies 41 macroplankton and micronekton taxa, and offshore and inshore regions. |
