Local concentration of acidic ions in snowfall at the heavy snow area in the Japan Sea side of northern Honshu / Hatsuo Tsukahara, and 9 others.
Title: | Local concentration of acidic ions in snowfall at the heavy snow area in the Japan Sea side of northern Honshu / Hatsuo Tsukahara, and 9 others. |
Author(s): | Tsukahara, Hatsuo. |
Date: | 2000. |
Language: | Japanese. |
In: | Seppyo : Journal of the Japanese Society of Snow and Ice. (2000.), Vol. 62(3) (2000) |
Abstract: | Analysis of fresh snow from 88 sites in Niigata, Yamagata and Miyagi prefectures of Japan, 1990-99 showed values of pH from 4.2 to 5.2. Frequency of exposure to wind and position behind living accommodation influenced local concentration of acidic ions in snowfall. |
