Breeding density and population of little auks (Alle alle) in a North-west Greenland colony / Kaj Kampp, Knud Falk, Carsten Egevang Pedersen.

Title: Breeding density and population of little auks (Alle alle) in a North-west Greenland colony / Kaj Kampp, Knud Falk, Carsten Egevang Pedersen.
Author(s): Kampp, Kaj.
Falk, Knud.
Pedersen, Carsten Egevang.
Date: 2000.
In: Polar Biology. (2000.), Vol. 23(8) (2000)
Abstract: Little auk population of Thule district is believed to comprise more than half world's population. Authors estimated density of little auks on Hakluyt Island, using density estimate of 1.8 birds/m². On inhabited scree this implied 130 000 pairs for island and 15 million pairs for Thule district, agreeing with previous assumptions.
