Abstract: Describes developments towards guideline for allowable tolerances on airport runways affected by seasonal frost heave. Laser profiler gave longitudinal profiles that were compared to International Civil Aviation Organization straightedge guideline. Frost heave affected certain wavelength bands more than others. Recommends future work should gather data over entire year.
