Record #154256:
Thermokarst and land-ocean interactions, Laptev Sea region, Russia / N.N. Romanovskii, and 6 others.
Title: | Thermokarst and land-ocean interactions, Laptev Sea region, Russia / N.N. Romanovskii, and 6 others. |
Author(s): | Romanovskii, N. N. |
Date: | 2000. |
In: | Permafrost and Periglacial Processes. (2000.), Vol. 11(2) (2000) |
Abstract: | Discusses ice complexes and their regression around Laptev Sea about 13 ka BP. Eventual transformation to lagoons occurred, and continues, on Bykovsky Peninsula and area east of Yana River delta. Lagoons led to formation of indented coastlines, subject to thermoerosion and acceleration of shelf's submergence, especially after 7.5 ka BP. |
Notes: | Permafrost and Periglacial Processes. Vol. 11(2) :137-152 (2000). French summary. |
