Abstract: Compares electrical conductivity measurement (ECM) with chemical composition variation in S25 core from Mizuho Plateau, East Antarctica, 1986. ECM peaks reflected high concentrations of NO₃⁻ but scarcely corresponded with nssSO₄²⁻ peaks. Shows it is difficult to detect signs of past volcanic eruptions by ECM intensity on this core.
