Record #154008:

Effect of climate change relative to ozone depletion on UV exposure in subarctic lakes / Reinhard Pienitz, Warwick F. Vincent.

Title: Effect of climate change relative to ozone depletion on UV exposure in subarctic lakes / Reinhard Pienitz, Warwick F. Vincent.
Author(s): Pienitz, Reinhard.
Vincent, Warwick F.
Date: 2000.
In: Nature. (2000.), Vol. 404(6777) (2000)
Abstract: Reports use of fossil diatom assemblages in combination with bio-optical models to estimate magnitude of past variations in underwater light regime of lake at boreal treeline. Findings indicate that freshwater ecosystems at present located across vegetation gradients will experience significant shifts in underwater spectral irradiance through effects of climate change on catchment vegetation and export of coloured dissolved material.
