Cenozoic motion between East and West Antarctica / Steven C. Cande, Joann M. Stock, R. Dietmar Müller, Takemi Ishihara.
Title: | Cenozoic motion between East and West Antarctica / Steven C. Cande, Joann M. Stock, R. Dietmar Müller, Takemi Ishihara. |
Author(s): | Cande, Steven C. Stock, Joann M. Müller, R. Dietmar. Ishihara, Takemi. |
Date: | 2000. |
In: | Nature. (2000.), Vol. 404(6774) (2000) |
Abstract: | Presents new marine geophysical data from region north of Ross Sea and in South Tasman Sea allowing direct calculation of motion between East and West Antarctica since early Tertiary. Describes set of linear seafloor spreading magnetic anomalies formed in Eocene and Oligocene straddling fossil spreading centre north of western Ross Sea embayment. |
Notes: | Nature. Vol. 404(6774) :145-150 (2000). |
