Abstract: Ice core (P95) gives 11,550 year long record of atmospheric dust deposition in Penny ice cap, Baffin Island, showing changes in production and transport of dust during Late Pleistocene and holocene. Dry and windy climate gave greatest deposition. Discusses possible causes of change and emphasises importance of records of regional-scale paleoenvironmental changes from small Arctic ice caps.
