Abstract: Compares taxonomy, contribution to total macrozoobenthos biomass, diets, and growth and age of closely related dominant species of shallow water ophiuroid fauna from Magellan region and Weddell Sea. Magellan species tend towards microphageous grazing, whereas Weddell Sea species act more like scavengers. In special issue Magellan-Antarctic: ecosystems that drifted apart.
