Abstract: | Doctrine appeared clearly first in visitation of bishop in Ylitornio in 1852. It held that Bible was worth no more than its paper and ink, and that God influences only through spoken word. It was also thought that people could meet God only in Brethren. Lars Levi and (near) co-founder Raattamaa did not hold this doctrine. Many bishops and priests of Lutheran Church tried hard to oppose it. Meetings in Alkkula in 1875 and Ii in 1885 both faied to give it up. |
