Abstract: Analyses data from 30 m Late Pleistocene deposits and isotopic composition of three stages of polygonal ice wedges at Cape Sabler (Lake Taymyr). Heaviest isotopic composition observed is in modern ice wedges, with lightest from Karginsk ice wedges, demonstrating variation in climatic conditions during ice formation. Oxygen-isotope analysis shows variations in winter temperature conditions of ice wedge formation during last 30,000 years, from colder at end of Karginsk and Sartan periods to relatively warm Holocene.
