| Abstract: | Reconstructs history of cryolithozone of Arctic, showing palaeogeographic and palaeoclimatic scenarios of extreme climatic stages during last two major glacial cycles. Creates models for circum-Arctic cryolithozone for each of four stages, showing distribution of subaerial, subglacial and submarine types. This model of cryolithozone evolution, revealing cause-and-effect relationships between cryolithozone and other natural factors, can provide basis for forecasting future development of Arctic cryolithozone. |
