Record #153616:

Antarctic seismic stratigraphy: status, questions, and future priorities / Alan K. Cooper.

Title: Antarctic seismic stratigraphy: status, questions, and future priorities / Alan K. Cooper.
Author(s): Cooper, Alan K.
Date: 1999.
In: SCAR Report. (1999.), Vol. 16 (1999)
Abstract: Gives overview of seismic stratigraphy as used to investigate possible origins, processes and palaeoenvironments for acoustic units, unconformities and seismic sequences of Antarctic margin, and describes limitations of current models and possible topics for further study. Emphasises need for adequate ground truth drilling and coring information; and more detailed acoustic images of type sections within Cenozoic sequences. In special issue Report of a Workshop on Antarctic Late Phanerozoic Earth System Science.
Notes:
