Record #153600:

Development of an Antarctic digital elevation model / Hongxing Liu.

Title: Development of an Antarctic digital elevation model / Hongxing Liu.
Author(s): Liu, Hongxing.
Date: 1999.
In: Byrd Polar Research Center. BPRC Report. (1999.), Vol. 19 (1999)
Abstract: Discusses technical and theoretical issues involved in construction of large-scale digital elevation model (DEM) with multiple data sources. Describes new methods and adaptations of existing algorithms used to handle enormous data volume, diverse data sources and different terrain types encountered in Antarctic DEM. Demonstrates potential of remote sensing techniques such as shape-from-shading, SAR stereo and interferometric SAR and formulates technical strategy for future improvement of Antarctic DEM.
