Record #153592:

Fracture propagation characteristics of an anisotropic model of flawed sea ice / William D. Hibler, III, E.M. Schulson.

Title: Fracture propagation characteristics of an anisotropic model of flawed sea ice / William D. Hibler, III, E.M. Schulson.
Author(s): Hibler, William D.,
Schulson, E. M.
Date: 1998.
Publisher: Rotterdam: A.A. Balkema
In: Ice in surface waters. Proceedings of 14th International Symposium on Ice, Potsdam, NY, USA, 27-31 July 1998. (1998.),
Abstract: Using theory of Hibler and Schulson (1998), examines fracture propagation characteristics of this model, employing simpler isotropic constitute law for thick and thin flaw ice. Presents theoretical framework for treatment of oriented flaws in sea ice, then examines aspects of them numerically.
