Abstract: Model for predicting ice-induced vibrations in general offshore structures can predict saw-tooth-like response at low ice velocity and lock-in phenomena. Changes in ice thickness and velocity are factors. Three-legged jacket platform appears sensitive to ice-induced vibrations, though caisson-retained island is not.
