Record #153509:

Developments in Icelandic cod stock assessment and application to NE-Arctic cod / Gudhmundur Gudhmundsson, Sigfús Schopka.

Title: Developments in Icelandic cod stock assessment and application to NE-Arctic cod / Gudhmundur Gudhmundsson, Sigfús Schopka.
Author(s): Gudhmundsson, Gudhmundur.
Schopka, Sigfús.
Date: 1999.
In: Rit Fiskideildar. (1999.), XVI (1999)
Abstract: Data for Icelandic cod is gathered from 10 000 to 15 000 determinations from otoliths, 100 000 to 150 000 length measurements and reports of total catches. Supplementary information is found from CPUE observations. These use virtual population analysis, tuned by extended survivors analysis, and time series analysis. These differ in modelling stochastic variations, but agree well. NE-Arctic cod has similar data collected and is analysed by same methods. Major source of error is variation in catchability.
