Abstract: Flats were examined 16 times from 1971-1997. Sediment is fine or very fine sand. Some changes in density may be related to coarser sediment. For some species, changes are similar to those in Wadden Sea during period of eutrophication, but nearest sewage outlet is 1.5 km distant Mosfellsbaer, rqpidly growing town of 5 200 inhabitants.
