| Abstract: | RKTL (Riista- ja kalatalouden tutkimuslaitos] game and fish economies' research institute, Kaamanen), unique in north Fennoscandia, was evaluated in 1990s by international group of experts. It has five divisions and 25 stations over Finland. Three chief activities are: reindeer, reindeer economy and pasturage; quality of pastures and quantitative follow-up; and training experts. Facilities, scale and cost of work are described. Muotkatunturi Cooperative has special role. |
