| Abstract: | Reports results of 1994-95 study of predation by skuas at penguin colonies on Cuverville Island, and assesses impact of distraction by tourists on vulnerability to predation. Total of 164 hours of observation, one third with tourists present, revealed no evidence that presence of parties of visitors within feeding territories influenced skua predatory behaviour.
