| Abstract: | All Scandinavian animals come from 27 East Greenlanders brought to Dovrefjell in 1947-53. Small herd crossed over from Norway in 1971. Diagrams show numbers on Dovrefjell from 1953 and numbers of Swedish calves from 1973. Only 10 animals remain, and survival seems to demand common management with Norway. Question is whether Swedes can tolerate such wilful beasts. |
