Record #153345:

An assessment of operational Antarctic analyses based on data from the FROST Project / John Turner, and 7 others.

Title: An assessment of operational Antarctic analyses based on data from the FROST Project / John Turner, and 7 others.
Author(s): Turner, John.
Date: 1999.
Abstract: Considers quality of Antarctic operational meteorological analyses distributed over Global Telecommunications System during First Regional Observing Study of Troposphere (FROST) project special observing period in July 1994. Compares numerical analyses from UK Meteorological Office, European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts, Australian Bureau of Meteorology and US National Centres for Environmental Prediction with high quality analyses prepared using all available late data and high resolution satellite imagery. Discusses value of late non-GTS data and new forms of satellite data. In special issue First Regional Observing Study of the Troposphere (FROST)
