Record #153296:

Simulation of river ice jam formation / Steven F. Daly, Mark A. Hopkins.

Title: Simulation of river ice jam formation / Steven F. Daly, Mark A. Hopkins.
Author(s): Daly, Steven F.
Hopkins, Mark A.
Date: 1998.
Publisher: Rotterdam: A.A. Balkema
In: Ice in surface waters. Proceedings of 14th International Symposium on Ice, Potsdam, NY, USA, 27-31 July 1998. (1998.),
Abstract: Describes use of coupled three-dimensional discrete element ice model and one-dimensional flow model to produce simulation of dynamic behaviour of large ice masses and close coupling between ice jam and dynamic channel flow. Can produce realistic animations of ice jams that can be used in design of ice-control structures and hydraulic structures for cold regions.
