| Abstract: | 16 melt-out kettles were analysed. They most likely formed in 1918 jökulhlaup, as they would show catastrophic but limited frontal deglaciation linked with sudden outflow of meltwaters depositing icebergs. But they may come from cores of end moraines swept away by surging water. |
