Record #153276:

On the pattern of faults and dykes in Borgarfjördhur, W-Iceland / Maryam Khodayar.

Title: On the pattern of faults and dykes in Borgarfjördhur, W-Iceland / Maryam Khodayar.
Author(s): Khodayar, Maryam.
Date: 1999.
In: Jökull. (1999.), Vol. 47 (1999)
Abstract: Eroded Tertiary and Quaternary lava piles in area are cut by numerous faults, dominated by WNW and NNE directions, and dykes. Both populations show normal and strike-slip faults with similar lengths, displacements and frequency. Dykes are N-S and NNE. Tilting histories are inferred and complex tectonics are explained in terms of propagating and receding rift zones.
