Klima i nord de siste 100 år / Inger Hanssen-Bauer.
Title: | Klima i nord de siste 100 år / Inger Hanssen-Bauer. |
Translated title: | Climate in the North the last 100 years. |
Author(s): | Hanssen-Bauer, Inger. |
Date: | 1999. |
Language: | Norwegian. |
In: | Ottar. (1999.), Vol. 5 (1999) |
Abstract: | Discusses proportion of current warmer, wetter climate due to human influence and possible future course. Effect of sunspot cycle is disputed. Effects of particles, some from volcanoes, and greenhouse gases are described. Water vapour is "joker" in system, with great natural variation, sea surface is another. North Norway's climate falls into three parts: west and east coasts and inland. Smoothed annual mean temperatures in these are compared with Svalbard's, which is far more variable. Prediction is very uncertain, but in general warming will continue, with greatest uncertainty in North. |
