Record #153164:

Strandvoller og vindklima / Jakob J. Møller.

Title: Strandvoller og vindklima / Jakob J. Møller.
Translated title: Beach banks and wind conditions.
Author(s): Møller, Jakob J.
Date: 1999.
Language: Norwegian.
In: Ottar. (1999.), Vol. 5 (1999)
Abstract: Sandbanks in Sandbukt, Ullsfjord, show succession of water levels over 7000 years. These show wind conditions, modified by isostatic land heaving. Short-term effects, possibly explaining link between windy winter weather and calmer summer, with dominant onshore and offshore winds, have been studied since 1993, giving detailed beach profile before and after even individual storms. Long-term effects over last 2000 years have been studied. These are related to North Atlantic Oscillation.
