Abstract: Celebration by North Calotte's four races in summer 1999 opened refurbished police house as museum of WW2. In particular, Sweden accepted 50 000 Norwegian refugees during German scorched earth retreat in 1944. Event was result of North Calotte seminar in Kilpisjärvi in 1994 and book "Krig och evakuering på Nordkalotten". Brig. Håkon Kvernmo, who opened White House, commanded Finnmark Regiment in Porsanger during war.
