Includes analysis of Ostyak bogatyr from Ostyak folk tales, description of settlement of Dem'yanka, its Russian and Ostyak inhabitants. Reviews work of L. Simonov on folk tales of Voguly, Ostyaki and Samoyedy. Also included is dictionary of Tobol words and expressions compiled by the author and his colleagues (pp. 249-290). With commentary and list of Patkanov's main publications. |
