| Abstract: | In special issue: Glaciers of the Southern Hemisphere. Shows large Pio XI Glacier, Southern Patagonia Icefield (SPI), advanced 10 km 1945-95, though adjacent glaciers show retreat. Gives volume changes. Glacier shows low sensitivity to ELA variations, though increasing temperature, moving ELA upwards, may cause threshold at which glacier would retreat. |
