Abstract: Describes use of spectral mixture analysis using Landsat thematic Mapper (TM) images to identify ablation and accumulation zones and snowline at Zongo Glacier, Bolivia, and Quelccaya Ice Cap, Peru. Suggests useful correlation between highest altitude for snowline during hydrological year and altitude of equilibrium line. In special issue: Glaciers of the Southern Hemisphere.
