Abstract: In special issue on Methods of Mass Balance Measurements and Modelling. Describes details of method of using photogrammetric results for estimating annual mass balance on South Cascade Glacier, WA, USA, and compares estimated mass balances with independently measured 'true' values. Gives errors and their results, and finds estimated balances are ca 1 m too negative compared with measurements at stake.
