The role of coastal retreat for sedimentation in the Laptev Sea / F.E. Are.
Title: | The role of coastal retreat for sedimentation in the Laptev Sea / F.E. Are. |
Author(s): | Are, F. E. |
Date: | 1999. |
Publisher: | Berlin: Springer |
In: | Land-Ocean systems in the Siberian Arctic. Dynamics and history. (1999.), |
Abstract: | Discusses methodology of calculations for finding amount of sediments supplied to Laptev sea from shore erosion, using aerial photographs, geological and geographical maps and bathymetric monitoring. Calculates amount of sediment released into sea from erosion of Anabar-Olenek section of coast as example and compares with published data on sediment discharge of rivers draining to Laptev sea. |
